A visit to Beit Hatfutsot, the Museum of the Jewish People, will take you on a journey of the story of the Jewish People through the ages, transversing history and geography. This narrative is told through diverse media combining exhibits, murals, audio visual displays, reconstructions, documentary films and interactive multimedia
which weave together to present the viewer with answers to the question
of what being a Jew has meant throughout history, and what being a Jew
means today.
The Core Exhibition journeys is divided into sections, under the headings of the Jewish Family, Jewish Communities, the Jewish Faith, Culture, "Among the Nations" and "Return to Zion".
There are also temporary exhibitions that are changed every few months, and the Museum has recently hosted exhibitions entitled "Visas for Freedom - Spanish Diplomats and the Holocaust", "With this Ring - Wedding Ceremonies in Contemporary Art" and "Light and Shadows - The Story of Iran and the Jews".
The Museum also houses one of the world's most comprehensive digital archive on Jewish issues - including:
photography, genealogy, films, Jewish music, history of communities, the
meaning of Jewish family names, personalities, and Jewish peoplehood
terms. It is open for public searching at the Museum's computer center.

If you wish to cancel your tickets, please notify us (info@thingstodoisrael.com) at least 48 hours prior to the ticket date, and only a handling charge of USD 5 per booking (regardless of the number of participants) will be charged.
Notification of less than 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee of 100%, as will a "no-show" on the day.
Please note that charges for the tour will appear under "Israel ITicketing" on your credit card statement.

Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. -1 p.m.
The Museum is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
